Letter from the President

Hello Stars Nation!

I want to start my first President’s Message of the season with a celebration that we have 25 teams total (16 youth and 9 high school) filled with the strongest talent we have ever seen. It is going to be a great year for Stars Nation!

A few reminders to kick things off:

If you are looking for Stars fan gear, go to our home lakecountystars.org, and about halfway down is a link to Spirit Wear. This way you can show your Stars Pride everywhere you go!

Please do not forget to get your uniform orders in by 11/1 at lakecountystars.org/uniforms. No late orders will be accepted. You will be invoiced for anything extra you ordered around 11/8.

As we are starting a new season, I wanted to give you a little who is who in the leadership of the Stars. If you are not sure who to reach out to for something, reach out to Cynthia and she will point you in the right direction.

    Chris Shannon - VP/High School Director (coachshannon@lakecountystars.org)

Jason Acevedo - Director of Player Development (coachace@lakecountystars.org)

Cynthia Zarkowsky - Operations Director (info@lakecountystars.org)

Chris Field - Youth Director (coachfield@lakecountystars.org)

Zack Maze - Technology & Communications Director (webmaster@lakecountystars.org)

Reminder for all Youth players (14u and under), you get 3 one-on-one lessons with the coach of your choice, and clinics with Coach Ace included in your fees. Make sure you book these and take advantage of the excellent training opportunities before the end of the calendar year.

    Clinics >> https://lakecountystars.setmore.com/bookclass

If you need direction in who to book with or if you want to continue lessons after your three and need guidance of who would be a good fit, feel free to reach out to Cynthia as well on this.

You can also go to this link to book open cage time: https://lakecountystars.setmore.com. As of November 1, our hours will be: 2:00pm - 9:30pm Monday thru Friday, and 7:30am - 8:00pm Saturday and Sunday.

If you are looking for personal training to build up your player and protect their bodies for the season, please reach out to Kip Steingart to find out what he can do for your player. You can see what Kip has to offer and find his contact info here >> https://www.lakecountystars.org/performance.

Some housekeeping reminders: when you use a cage or a tunnel, please clean up all baseballs and anything else that is out. DO NOT drag the mounds anywhere and please do not stand them up on their sides for any reason. We can not afford to replace equipment due to mistreatment, so please do your part.

We also have a New Website/App coming soon! Soon we will be rolling out a new "home" on the internet as well. Please be on the lookout for how to get registered and join your team on our new platform: Crossbar.

At the Stars, we pride ourselves on having wonderful families and players who really understand what it means to be a good teammate. We take our Codes of Conduct very seriously and will enforce them should we need to. You have already agreed to them when you accepted your 2024 offer, and you can find them here as well if you want to make sure you and your player fully understand them.

Own a business/know a business looking for a tax deduction and want to help your favorite Stars player at the same time? We offer a unique way to offset your fees. If you are able to get a sponsor, (and they are easier to get than you think!) the donation is a 50/50% split with the Stars and your player. If you have already paid but collect a sponsorship, we can send you a refund back all the way until the start of the season. Please see https://www.lakecountystars.org/about/sponsors/19741 for all information.

One of the best parts of my job is being at the facility seeing our “home” filled with families taking advantage of all we have to offer. If you see me there, please say hello so we can chat for a few minutes. I always want to hear how you think things are going and what ideas you have for the Stars. Looking forward to seeing all of the off season growth that will help get our players ready to dominate on the fields in the spring. I am truly excited for what is sure to be the best season yet for Stars Nation.

As always, GO STARS!

-Phil
